Nepal Team gathers again

On the weekend of 30-31st January, 2016, 4 of our members travelled to Gosford, NSW to help celebrate the work achieved by 2 of our members along with about 20 other volunteers from Rotary Clubs right across Australia last November in Nepal.

At a meeting of the Rotary Club of Kariong-Somersby, the approximately 60 people in attendance heard of the work achieved by the group including:

  • Teacher Training
  • Presentations of dolls to young children affected by last years earthquake
  • Delivery of over 500 female hygiene kits made in partnership with the otrganisation Days for Girls.
  • Delivery of laptop computers to aid in education of kids.

Our own club will also hear an update from the team members at our club meeting on 16th February where you are invited to join us to learn more about how you can also get involved with future projects.
